Quickie Salsa M2

The Verdict

Powered wheelchair with centre wheel drive. I have the seat adapted because the original pilot-style seat was very uncomfortable due to my injuries. The long footplate has also been modified by wheelchair services as the original footplate was uncomfortable for me.

My previous chair, an Invacare TDX, broke down over 40 times in 2 years, and I went through wheel changes a dozen times, with things constantly falling off at hinges. But I’ve had this chair for a year, and no repairs have been needed at all, and I’m on the go every day.

It has an excellent battery life and speed settings – I use buses and trains every day with no issues. It also has an excellent turning circle.
