Source Of Wheelchair:
Mobility Plus+
Diagnosis:
Chronic myeloid leukemia and neuromuscular problem in legs under investigation
Personal Opinion:
I like how it folds and splits. Split each part weighs under 14kg which means on a good day I can get it into the car alone, on a regular or bad day it’s manageable for my 66 year old mother/carer.
I’m a part time wheelchair user and it helps me get our and about. It’s narrow enough to fit through most doorframes. Comfortable enough for about 6 hours of use. I’m aiming to upgrade the cushion in the future. I haven’t managed to run it’s battery all the way down in a single day, so I’m impressed (I’m not featherweight, let’s put it that way).
The controls are easy to use and I thought the price wasn’t outrageous for what it is. The biggest selling point was how it folds easily and I can store it in the entry of my small flat. It fits a Hyundai i20 boot without splitting.
If I become a full time wheelchair user I’ll probably upgrade, but for now it works for me.
