The Verdict

AccessYourLife | December 15, 2025 | Wheelchair Attachment
Photo of a woman using a self-propelling wheelchair, with a 'FreeWheel' attachment connected to the footplate, on a footpath in a park. The woman's scarf and thick black coat, contrast with he blue shorts & sandals, which in conjunction with the the low light, and mist in the far background, suggest this photo was taken very early in the morning on a summer day.

Personal Opinion:
Clips onto the wheelchair footplate using a lever. Has the option of different fittings. But if you use the wrong fitting, you can snap your footplate, which isn’t helpful.

It makes for a smoother ride, which means I can go off-road and walk the dog.
