Varilite Evolution Wheelchair Cushion

Attachment Description:
Wheelchair cushion with cover and a small valve to adjust air pressure out front. To inflate the cushion, open the valve, then close it. Sit on the fully inflated cushion, open the valve until the desired setting is reached, then close it again. Different shapes/sizes available, I have the evolution, though from the outside they all look the same. I also have the standard valve, but there is a second valve option that automatically releases a certain amount of air.

Personal Opinion:
I suffered with pressure sores and have tested many different cushions. Varilite seems to be a lesser-known brand from what I can tell by looking at different suppliers, but when pressure mapped, it outperformed all other cushions I tried by far. I was previously using a cushion with a pump, which kept pressure sores at bay but did not help my posture one bit, and now I can sit in the correct posture and have enough pressure relief to avoid pressure sores. Since the cushion only consists of foam and air, it isn’t as heavy as gel cushions can be, and during hot days, it isn’t as sweaty or uncomfortable as my previous cushions have been.
