Features a low backrest, electronic riser function, central footplate, widely spaced back wheels, and front anti-tip wheels.
I bought this chair solely for indoor and garden use. My main reason was that it has a riser function, allowing me to reach into cupboards. I have been told by others that they have taken theirs all over the place and been pleased, but for me, it would lack support and adequate stability on steeper ramps than the ones I have at home. It does just go through standard doorways, although you will see from my photo that I damaged the arm doing this. The rear wheels stick out quite far, which helps maintain basic stability, but I find I tend to damage furniture with them.
I would also not feel comfortable sitting on it for a prolonged period, as the seat has little padding and back support. Since a change in my condition, I rarely use the riser function because the footplate does not rise, causing my legs to dangle and putting pressure on my limbs that can easily dislocate them.
Overall, there’s nothing really wrong with this for occasional use, but as with all chairs, its suitability depends on your condition. Personally, I would not buy this again.
