Small rear power assist attachment that clips onto the back of your wheelchair. It is black and weighs approximately 7 kg. Mine has been personalised with iridescent star stickers on it. It also has a speed control diall mounted at the front of the chair.
I absolutely love my SMOOV! It allows me to go much further and reach places I would never have managed to self-propel to in the past. I use it mostly around a city – it likes smooth-ish surfaces and can handle ramps and slopes as long as they’re not really steep! I’ve also used it in a park on grass with an RGK FrontWheel – it’s not a big fan of rough or uneven ground or off-roading.
It’s slightly trickier to attach to my RGK Tiga FX because there’s an extra bar underneath the chair – I put it on before I get in the chair. Also, since it weighs 7kg, it’s not very light to lift in and out of my car, but I can manage it.
