This is a wonderful power add-on! Since my SMOOV arrived, I have been able to travel for work, join my friends on walks around the city, go to the supermarket independently, and even enjoy a night out (the SMOOV significantly improved my dancing!). I no longer need to be pushed everywhere, and I can even hold my partner’s hand when strolling side by side. I can handle hills, even steep ones, and uneven cambers with ease – just a turn of the control dial, with no exertion of energy. Bumpy, uneven paths are also no problem for it.
The SMOOV is reliable, speedy and safe. I always feel in control, which is essential. I love that I can choose whether to continue self-propelling with the SMOOV giving me a boost, or steer with the SMOOV doing all the work.
Stopping is simple – just a touch of the dial, as is changing speeds – just turn the dial forward or backwards. I now hate going out without my SMOOV, and it’s really easy to attach and remove myself.
Celtic Therapy & Rehab were able to support me in learning how to use the SMOOV, ensuring the setup was correct by troubleshooting any issues, and were just generally incredibly helpful. They even followed up with me to check how I was getting on.
