Wheelchair Description:
Powered chair with electric tilt-in-space feature and manual leg elevation. Contoured support back with memory foam seat cushion and headrest.

Battery Life:
Long-life battery is advertised to last for 15 miles, but in reality, it performs less when stop/start and hills are involved.

Source Of Wheelchair:
Unknown

Diagnosis:
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), Vasovagal Syncope

Personal Opinion:
The Salsa M2 drastically increased my quality of life because of its leg elevation and powered tilt-in-space feature. Although I wish we had paid extra for the electric leg elevations, though, as they can sometimes be difficult to lower manually.

You can get a lot of ‘extras’ on the chair, but the price increases quite quickly for these. We chose this particular chair so we could remove the backrest to fit it in the car, which is possible, but it’s so heavy and difficult that it’s not worth the trouble. Therefore, you would definitely need a WAV to transport this chair.

The long-lasting battery is usually dependable, but it drains much quicker when frequently stopping and starting, or going over hills and uneven terrain.

Overall, it’s a good all-round chair.
