Personal Opinion:
These wheels are great on rough and uneven terrain, particularly on cobblestone paths, dropping off curbs, rolling over potholes, etc. I have even done a small 6-inch drop-off at higher speeds while going downhill, and was very surprised at how well they handled it.
I also plan to test them with a power add-on (Batec) in the next few weeks, where I think they will really shine when put through their paces at a higher speed. Very happy with my purchase.
The Ghecko push rims are awesome. The size, shape, and rubber help me massively. No more catching my fingers when trying to slow down while rolling down inclines, which I often did with standard rims. Mine are the largest, with an 11mm offset. I believe there is a larger offset option, but I didn’t want to make my chair too wide. They are expensive at £330 a pair, but I think it’s better to buy them with the Loopwheels than to keep repeatedly buying cheaper alternatives, only to eventually give in and purchase these, if that makes sense.
