My Loopwheels feature blue standard loops, with black trim, black push rims, and rubber push rim covers.
I initially tried the £20 trial from Loopwheels before buying them elsewhere. I didn’t know what to expect! As well as having Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, my lower spine is crumbling, and I struggle with a weakened grip in my hands, but I have randomly strong arms. So I was really uncomfortable in my chair.
(I really didn’t want to love them the way I do!)
The first place I trialled them was in the supermarket, and the first thing I noticed was how light my chair felt. Now I’m *cuddly* and don’t usually feel so light to push in my chair, but I was zooming around the supermarket, just actively enjoying using them. It was new and a bit of a wow factor for me. I found it so much easier to move myself around, so when I found an ex-demo pair for £1000 off the retail price, it was a no-brainer!
I’ve also taken my Loopwheels down by the river and paired them with my FreeWheel, which for me was a brilliant combo. Definitely an experience to try out if you can.
The Loopwheels company was also a pleasure to deal with; I honestly can’t think of a bad point to say.
