The Verdict

I find this chair to be a great option for outdoor use, but the mid-wheel drive means it is also easy to manoeuvre indoors as the centre-mounted leg rests provide a smaller turning circle. If you have unlimited financial resources, you could pretty much adapt this chair in any way you wanted/needed. Sadly, I don’t have all the adaptations I require, as they are very expensive. However, it is still a great chair that has improved my quality of life by reducing my pain and improving my independence. Having the option to recline if needed is also a big help for those struggling with pain. I’ve listed some of the good and bad things about this chair below, as I think I would only recommend it to people with certain requirements.

Positive Features:
– Comes with many adaptable features.
– Crash tested so it can be used in a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
– Capable of travelling at 6mph.
– Features decent suspension.
– Having 6 wheels makes it less likely to tip forward or backwards.

Negative Features:
– Expensive.
– Parts can take ages to order.
– Requires a WAV to transport, or at least a large car with a big boot and a heavy-duty hoist.
– Not suitable for taller people, as the leg rests are short when elevated, so if you have long legs, you can’t fully straighten them.
– Narrow base means it can only accommodate smaller batteries.

Update: At the time of writing this review, the chair helped reduce my pain and increased my independence. However, I ended up cancelling my Motability rental contract a year early because it became too uncomfortable, and I particularly disliked how inflexible the suspension was when going up and down train and bus ramps.
