I use a hoist to get this chair into the boot of my CR-V. I have only been able to use a hoist on my own for the past 10 months, which is also how long I have been using this chair – outdoors only, since I have a different powerchair indoors. However, if I have help, the batteries can be removed, and the chair can be folded to make transportation easier.
Although this chair is pretty basic, I found it comfortable enough for shopping trips and days out of up to around 6 hours. It has anti-tip wheels, and I always feel safe using it. I used it for longer periods during my training course for my Canine Partners and experienced no problems or loss of battery power, although, as recommended, I always recharged it overnight.
Overall, this is a fairly cheap chair, which I believe has now changed its name, but was very good value for money at around £1,000 at the time I purchased it.
The only reason I want to sell this chair to raise funds for Canine Partners is because I now need a powered wheelchair that is crash-tested.
