The TableCoaster provides a stable base for most drinks, ensuring they cannot be knocked over. It has a rubberised base that ensures it grips firmly to any clean, smooth surface, and it really does stick firmly; I’ve tried moving mine on occasion, and it’s been quite a challenge to break the suction and reposition it! It features a removable insert and a cutaway for a handle, enabling it to be used with both narrow or tall drinks (such as a can or a tall glass) and wider drinks (such as a mug or a pint glass).
These drink holders were life-changing for me, and perhaps more importantly, for my carpets. I have significant coordination issues, and because I live in a relatively small Victorian terrace, I often move around in quite tight spaces. After knocking what felt like the millionth can of Diet Coke onto the floor, requiring me to get on my hands and knees with a kitchen roll to mop it up, I decided enough was enough and searched Amazon for a solution.
I now have two of these; one on my over-bed table, which would otherwise be otherwise impossible to hold a drink on because it does not move smoothly on my bedroom carpet, tending to jolt and potentially send an unsupported drink flying; the other on my second bedside table, where a spilt drink could cause a huge, fiddly mess when I’m least awake. The removable section is brilliant, as it can be used for both tall and narrow drinks, and once removed, it becomes an ideal holder for a mug of your favourite brew with its ingenious handle cut-out.
I haven’t found fault with this product, other than the fact that my favourite Emma Bridgewater mugs don’t fit because of their particularly large bases, but that’s an issue with the mugs more than the TableCoaster, so I think we can forgive it for that.
I have even started considering using my TableCoaster on the tray of my wheelchair, so that if I have visitors, I can position my chair in the best place for conversation without having to worry about finding a nearby surface to hold my mug of tea.
The TableCoaster could be beneficial to anyone experiencing coordination issues, tremors, or balance problems. In fact, many people could probably make use of one somewhere in their lives! Whether it’s a busy parent who needs a secure place to rest a hot drink or someone who wants a safe spot on their desk to prevent spills on important paperwork or equipment.
