Item Description:
The Flexyfoot ferrule provides a revolutionary alternative to the traditional solid rubber ferrules found on most walking sticks and crutches. They are available in black or grey and feature an orange spring section between the foot that contacts the ground and the part that attaches to your stick. This sprung section is the key to the Flexyfoot‘s suspension and its capability to maintain a stable grip on almost any surface. The spring absorbs the impact of the stick each time it is placed on the ground, preventing the jolt that is often felt up the arm and into the shoulder when using a stick or crutches with a traditional solid rubber ferrule. Additionally, it allows the bottom of the ferrule to tilt, ensuring it forms a secure grip on any surface; even if the stick is placed at an angle to the ground, the base of the Flexyfoot ferrule remains flat, providing the user with firm support where a traditional ferrule might slip or fail to grip entirely.

Personal Opinion:
When I first needed a walking stick, I initially borrowed a standard NHS walking stick from a friend who had one from a previous operation. I just wanted to experience whatike to walk with a stick, and I couldn’t believe the amount of force that was jolting my arm and shoulder each time I placed it down on the ground. I realised immediately that I wouldn’t be able to manage with a standard stick.
So, when I was searching for my first walking stick, I went online to find one with some sort of built-in suspension, similar to that found in walking poles. That’s when I discovered Flexyfoot Shock-Absorbing Ferrules and purchased my first stick from them – the Black Flexyfoot Premium Cork Handle Walking Stick. This has been perfect for when I attend events where I want a more subtle look.
I also bought my second stick from them – Blue Flexyfoot Premium Cork Handle Folding Walking Stick. This has been perfect for when I don’t have the ability to take my black stick with me when leaving the house, as I can discreetly store it in my bag.
Both of my sticks have a Flexyfoot Ferrule because I never want to be without its suspension, which saves my joints. It also provides extra stability, I know it will grip the ground, whatever angle I put my stick down at.
