Personal Opinion:
My Triride has given me so much freedom! I love using it and it makes me want to go out. The dogs also love their long walks with this, especially when we can go fast and they get to run alongside.
It can easily be detached, which is helpful when I need to get into a small area on a bus etc, never had any problems with drivers saying something as I can just take it off. It can be a bit awkward to get in the car on your own, but once you get the technique right it’s fine. I find the easiest way is to take the basket and battery off the frame, making it as light as possible.
I love that it has cruise control and keeps a steady pace even when going downhill.
Traction can be an issue on hills so adding extra weight over the front (I put a 5L bottle of water in the basket or ankle weights on the forks) and a shift in your seat by leaning forward over the handlebars is usually enough to tackle this. If not I reverse up slowly also using cruise control.
I brought the genuine Triride basket as an accessory to add on to my secondhand device and it was worth every penny. I do sometimes wish I’d gone for a bigger more powerful model as I mainly use it for off-road fields and the beach, so feel I’d benefit from a bigger front wheel, but that’s not to say this isn’t perfectly adequate. I would also go for the double battery option if I was buying new as the faster you go, the more hills you climb, and the more stop/start you do – the more the battery drains. Overall, I certainly wouldn’t be without it!
