Personal Opinion:
Due to frequent fractures and severe rotator cuff damage, I was struggling to use my NHS chair and couldn’t get anything more suitable from them. Thankfully, I was able to get my TiLite with a SmartDrive (power assist attachment) through a condition-specific charity. With everything made to measure using high-quality materials and a Jay Cushion, the chair is manoeuvrable and comfortable.
I opted for flip down push handles and Surge rims which are more of an oval shape, giving a more comfortable and efficient grip. With the power assist, I’ve regained the ability to get out and about and go further afield.
In the 2 years, I’ve had the TiLite , I’ve added a bottle carrier (from a cycle shop), cycle lights and a Quokka Bag so my essential items are always within arms reach, and most recently a Phoenix Instinct Bag. While there are lots of different wheelchairs out there, most of which I tried before deciding on the TiLite, the TiLite works best for me.
