Personal Opinion:
The only drawback of this chair that I can see and doesn’t apply to me is the fact that like most electric chairs, it cannot be taken apart. This is not a problem for me as I have to travel from my wheelchair and have a wheelchair accessible vehicle that I drive in and out of using a ramp. Although, if you are looking to put this in a boot while you travel you may struggle, even with a hoist.
This chair has really improved my pain levels because before I brought this chair I suffered terribly with back pain. Being able to use uneven pavements without pain is another tremendous benefit and is the main reason I was attracted to the chair in the first place.
This chair is a modified F55 electric wheelchair from Sunrise. It has been purpose-built for my needs. It has big black tires that easily roll over all types of terrain, grass, gravel, etc, (think ride-on lawnmower tyres!) I no longer worry about running out of battery. My backrest is tall, due to my posture support needs and I use a standard RNET controller to drive the chair. The frame is black as I want people to see me not the chair, although the tyres always get noticed.
