Personal Opinion:
I first became dependent on the use of face masks due to an ever-growing list of allergies, respiratory issues and smell sensitivities. I opted for a cheap solution that did not provide an adequate level of protection, so I eventually discovered Cambridge Masks and have never looked back!
Specification:
The most important aspect of any mask is the filter. Luckily these masks have several strong filtration qualities that are unlike any other fashion friendly mask on the market. They filter out dust, pollution particles, bacteria and viruses using a unique triple layer filtration system. The first layer catches larger pollution particles such as dust, followed by the Three-Ply Micro Particulate Filter which stops nearly 100% of smaller particulate matter. The final layer has been developed by the UK’s Ministry of Defence and filters out viruses, bacteria and gas pollution.
Not only does this unique military-grade triple filter system provide me with physical protection when wearing my mask, but also peace of mind; something that is even more poignant since the coronavirus outbreak swept the globe. Plus if it is safe enough to be used in the military, it’s going to be more than suitable for vulnerable people! However, for anyone interested in seeing how these masks perform when compared with Vogmasks, click HERE to read my findings.
Now aside from these incredible qualities, one of the main reasons I have gone on to buy several Cambridge Masks following this review was because of the various colourful designs. While some of the colour options are more eye-catching, there is a good balance of subtle and obvious colours.
Packaging & Delivery:
Cambridge Mask uses eco-friendly packaging that is smooth, light-weight, and water-resistant. Developed from recycled cardboard and eco-friendly paper, the packaging is also a convenient place to store your mask when not in use.
Using The Item:
It’s important to remember that no masks are effective unless fitted and worn correctly. For this reason, it’s always important to check out the Cambridge Mask size guide before purchasing. It’s also important to remember that even though these masks are reusable and can be used for extended periods of time, they must be replaced once breathing becomes difficult. The average mask lifespan ranges from about 200-340 hours depending on the level of air pollution. Best of all, you can hand wash your mask with soap and hot water without affecting (or increasing) the life span.
Each pro mask uses two ear-straps, a wire nose-piece and elasticated straps on either cheek to provide you with an adjustable snug fit. Unfortunately, I find any masks with ear straps uncomfortable to wear long periods, due to the pain it causes behind my ears. Although this is clearly something Cambridge Mask considered, as they have an optional head strap accessory that instantly removed the pain behind my ears and increased my overall comfort levels. I’ve also found the head strap makes it easier for me to put on and adjust my mask, despite having limited dexterity.
Conclusion:
I highly recommend Cambridge Masks to people of all ages, ability and size. They are fashion-friendly, comfortable to wear and suitable for the whole family, which is a welcomed change in comparison to most medical supplies!
