Personal Opinion:
I am a huge fan of BundleBean products, particularly their wheelchair organisers and cosies! They are available in a range of sizes and patterns, both of which can be attached to almost any wheelchair or mobility scooter! Each cosy is made from two materials, a 100% waterproof shell and a cosy fleece lining, which is usually more than enough to keep me warm, dry and comfortable in most weathers conditions!

Specification:
The durable, high-quality textiles and fittings will prevent you from having to purchase multiples covers with different purposes. I have genuinely lost count of the number of wheelchair blankets I have bought over the years, yet I’ve never found a product that encompasses my preferences so perfectly. I have also found multiple uses for my cosy including a waterproof picnic blanket, emergency changing blanket and hooded body blanket. 

Packaging & Delivery:
Whether you buy online or at a disability exhibition, the mailing bags are now biodegradable and the packaging is made from recyclable card and is completely free of PVC!

Installation:
Now aside from the snazzy patterns, the main reason I bought a BundleBean cosy was because of how easy they are to put on and take off. You don’t have to get out of your chair to do this and they can be attached independently with ease, even if you have limited dexterity. The only feature I struggle with is the strong poppers at the bottom that narrow the covering around your feet/footplate, so I recommend leaving them connected if you want to make life easier. 

Multiple elasticated velcro straps secure around the ankle/calf area, underneath the knees and around the waist; however, you can also use these straps to attach the cosy directly to your wheelchair frame if preferred. It’s worth noting that the backs of your lower legs may get a little cold especially if you use a manual wheelchair, but I have found tucking a thin blanket underneath solves this issue.

Using The Item:
It is very clear that BundleBean cosies were designed with the user’s needs in mind, because they are super comforting, without being too restrictive for users with sensory issues. They are warm, wind shielding and waterproof; yet can easily withstand kicking or leg stretching. The covers can be folded down to access PEGs / administer medication, whilst also being quick to remove when needed. They are super easy to transport in the matching pouch, which can be hung on your wheelchair handlebars, bag clips etc! To my surprise, you also don’t have to wrestle the cosy back into its pouch which is a huge bonus when you are on the go!

Conclusion:
I would highly recommend this wheelchair accessory to users of any age, ability or size. In fact, you could even use it in conjunction with other equipment such as mobility scooters, indoor seating and transportation equipment. They are relatively cheap to buy and last SUCH a long time! They also wash extremely well, making them a great investment/gift!
