Hi, I’m Jay! AYL’s newest team member and Secondary Social Media Administrator! Meaning if you follow us on social media, you will have already seen some of my work! It is a new but exciting adventure for me. I have always been interested in computers and technology, but up until recently had a hard time finding a job that fit both my future goals and existing skills. I have particularly enjoyed learning how to use new software, all whilst using my attention to detail to create something informative. Best of all, this new venture also allows me to help others, which makes it very rewarding to me.
Despite having worked in many different roles throughout my job history, I have never found somewhere I feel comfortable enough to explore my role, ask questions, and be myself. I’ve also never had the opportunity to work with someone like Cameron, who can teach me everything he knows about the social media marketing industry. Something I am extremely grateful for, particularly after spending so long hunting for employment and longing for such opportunities.
In my spare time, I am a car enthusiastic! Everything from learning how they work, to how I can fix them. I also like to play video games, so spend a lot of time on my PC or XBOX, hence my love for technology! Amazingly this hobby has helped me to feel less anxious whilst working from home, as it’s an environment I am so familiar with. Anxiety has always been a bit of a struggle for me, but thankfully I am surrounded by an understanding team and a community that shares such struggles.
Thanks For Reading - Jay
Hi, I'm Lauren and I have been living with a collection of disabilities for the past 8 years. I initially had a passion for teaching children with special needs, but my health prevented me from pursuring my dream career. Despite this, I now love nothing more than sharing my experiences to help other people living with disabilities.
Hi, I’m Lori and was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and a family of co-morbid conditions which has made life highly complex. However I constantly aim to make life as ‘normal’ and fulfilling as possible - and through this, I discovered the benefits of writing about my journey.
