Personal Opinion:
I have been the fortunate owner of an original Mountain Trike for about seven years, and it has completely transformed my life! It has allowed me to explore the great outdoors and get to places I hadn’t been to in decades. I’ve become much more connected to the natural world, which has done wonders for my mental and physical health. Along with knocking type 2 diabetes on the head!
When Tim Morgan introduced the new eTrike I knew immediately that it would greatly increase the range of users able to benefit from the chair’s unique capabilities. I also recognised that I was not getting any younger and might be able to extend my active years considerably, so I invested in one – the very first one in fact!
Now I can tackle any hill I want, without needing any extra push – which is useful when you live in Yorkshire! I have explored Neolithic sites in Orkney and climbed eye-watering steep slopes to reach Welsh castles in the air.
The electric assist allows more time for exploring and it gets you up those steep slopes in a fraction of the time, whilst still giving you the freedom to have a proper workout by using it manually if that’s what you want. Collectively these features mean you can go that bit further, making it all the better for more exploring!
I should finally add that you don’t need to invest in a new eTrike to benefit from the electric assist, as it can be retrofitted to an existing Mountain Trike. An extremely thoughtful idea from the inventor.
