Spectra Plus 2- Powered Wheelchair

Wheelchair Description:
Black, rigid frame with fixed armrests and fixed footplate. A high backrest and separate headrest that can fold to support the sides of the head. 5 different speeds with an electronic tilt in space feature and reclining backrest.

Battery Life:
I’m not sure as I charge it every night and don’t go very far, but I can be out for a few hours with no problems.

Personal Opinion:
This wheelchair was such a big help when I first received it, as I initially relied on someone to push me. The tilt in space and reclining back features are excellent, however, the headrest has to be adjusted manually when you do this to be truly comfortable. But this isn’t too much hassle, especially because both of these features help with my health condition. I would say that it is quite a narrow chair, making it good for manoeuvring and parking up. It also has rear-wheel drive, which is handy in some situations but it does mean that the turning circle isn’t as tight as other wheelchairs.

The only downside is that the wheelchair can easily slip sideways on cambers, so you have to be careful. It has also started to slow down and break down during the 5 years I have had it, so it is a little unreliable.

Overall, I would no longer recommend it to others as I believe it’s outdated and there are better wheelchairs out there.
